Windows 2008 VM on Hyper-V in Windows 8

A note to self: If you want to deploy a Windows Server 2008 VM within Hyper-V on Windows 8, the VM needs to be created as a generation 1 VM, not 2. If you use Generation 2, not even switching off Secure boot will allow the installation to go through.

In other news, my lab is now just about built. Not sure why it took me so long, considering I’ve been in my new position for 3 months already.
